How Tripadvisor data behaves#
Reviews left out of the totals #
Tripadvisor leaves some reviews out of its rating and review count. Zembra collects them like the others.
Search results do not include the review count #
Tripadvisor does not show a review count in its search results, so a listing found through Zembra’s Match or Find service may come back without one. The review count and other details are filled in when you request reviews or call the business details endpoint, which fetches the listing page itself. Also, a business that exists on Tripadvisor does not always appear in Tripadvisor’s own search for its name and address, which can make matching harder.
